Marathi is located 17 km east of Chania and 5 km east of the Creta Naval Base in Souda Bay, on the southeastern coast of Akrotiri. It is a popular resort in the Chania area, which attracts many visitors every summer.
Marathi hosts two beautiful beaches with fine sand and shallow calm water. They are very well protected from the winds, as they face to the south and have a nice view of Drapanos Cape and the White Mountains. The beaches are separated by a small pier, which also serves as a harbor for fishing boats and small ferries. It is well organized with all the necessary amenities nearby.
